Cities for Mobility World Congress 2011The City of Stuttgart kindly invites to the World Congress 2011 of Cities for Mobility where we will celebrate the 5th Anniversary of Cities for Mobility. Next year's world congress will take place on July 3 - 5, 2011 in the City Hall of Stuttgart. Please block this date in your calendar! We expect again more than 300 participants from all over the world. Participants will benefit from an exciting conference programm, poster exhibitions and special tours and visits in Stuttgart. A special highlight will be the new "Cities for Mobility Contact Forum" which will take place for the first time in the framework of the congress.
The World Congress aims at putting the future attention on the quality of life in cities as two-thirds ot the world population will live in urban regions by 2030. This is the reason why we have chosen as main topic "The Future of Urban Mobility". We will discuss this issue from three points of view: the socio-political perspective, the dimension of urban planning as well as the technological outlook. The latter fits in the programme of the Automobilsommer 2011". The state of Baden-Württemberg will celebrate the 125th anniversary of the invention of the automobile (http://www.automobilsommer 2011.de).
You are welcome to spread this announcement among your friends and colleagues. A draft program and all further information about the World Congress 2011 will be available beginning of next year at our homepage.
